Lisa Bivins
Role: Instagram Moderator
Resides in: Custer County
Fun Facts about Lisa: Other than being the Custer County Bird Nerd, and a professional, amateur photographer she love spending time with her husband Jeff. They enjoy hiking, skiing, having fun hanging out on their deck enjoying those incredible Sangre views. For her real job she works for the county as a math nerd (Asst. Director of Finance/HR) and helps to settle interoffice conflict.
Her favorite thing about Custer County is it embodies all things mountain living. From our residents, to our terrain. We can be recluse, but social. There is a sense of community that other places don't have. Our dark skies are awe inspiring and our
views are ever changing and everywhere.
Scott Dankoff
Role: Instagram Moderator
Resides in: Custer County
Fun Facts about Scott: He used to do a lot of caving. Mostly in Iowa and Arkansas. He previously had property in Arkansas before deciding on retiring in Westcliffe. He also takes some of the best photos of the night skies in the state and you've probably seen his photos around places like here and here and here....
His favorite thing about Custer County is the history, beautiful scenery, peace and quiet.
Emily Ramsey
Role: Instagram Moderator
Resides in: Custer County
Fun Facts about Emily: her family settled in Westcliffe in the 1870s. She believes that’s a part of the reason she feels so connected to this area. It’s always felt like home even though her native home is Oklahoma.
She loves being an entrepreneur in the Wet Mountain Valley because it’s allowed her to meet so many interesting people. Often you can find fun events at her restaurant such as open mic, trivia, paint & sips (hosted by Emily) and live music. Being the “hub of fun” in Westcliffe is something she enjoys immensely.
These are the 3 businesses that she and her fiancé own in and near Westcliffe:
@silverwestfeedstore @evolvepaintcolorado and @flobrewco
Her favorite thing about Custer County
the beautiful scenery and the rich history….. Her favorite place in Custer County is the haunted cemetery in Silver Cliff.
She also loves being a part of the Hello Westcliffe group as it embodies something she cares deeply about: community and connection.
Hannah Severson
Role: Facebook Moderator
Resides in: Fort Worth TX
Fun Facts about Hannah: She has been to Westcliffe every summer since she was born. Her great-grandfather and grandfather bought land in Westcliffe in the 1960's because Westcliffe was family's favorite town to go fishing.
Education is her first passion and she's been teaching PreK for 10 years. She also enjoys photography.
Her favorite thing about Custer County are the memories she has there. Her grandparents had a cabin in Westcliffe and every summer her family would spend the entire summer at their cabin. They would fish, hike, ride mini dirt bikes, play games, shop in town, and enjoy the afternoon rain storms that would roll in. Every 4th of July they would have extended family travel to town and they would all enjoy that weekend together. So to her, Westcliffe brings back wonderful memories of family.
